Husqvarna Group’s Construction Division has signed an agreement to acquire Blastrac,
a leading provider of surface preparation technologies for the global construction and remediation industry.
Husqvarna- Blastrac steel blasting system:
Blastrac closed circuit media shot blasting machines throw a large amount of steel abrasive media by centrifugal force at the surface. After the steel abrasive hits the surface, the shot blaster recycles the media. Dust and contaminants are removed by an air wash separator and are removed to a dedicated Blastrac dust collector. This makes the process almost dust-free in operation. Shot blasting with steel shot is the most environmentally friendly abrasive blasting method there is, because there is no use of chemical products and no waste of valuable drinking water. Horizontal steel Blaster
The Blastrac 350E Global steel shotblaster is a machine suited for small to medium steel blasting projects. This machine is capable of preparing steel surfaces such as petrochemical or water storage tank floors and roofs, ship decks, barges and other marine vessels, hatch covers, bridge decks and offshore drilling platforms. The Blastrac 350E Global utilizes a center fed blast wheel design to propel steel shot, hardened steel grit or a mixture of both, to the surface allowing the operator to achieve a wide range of surface profiles as specified.
The Blastrac 500E Global steel shotblaster is a machine suited for medium to large steel blasting projects. This machine is capable of preparing steel surfaces such as petrochemical or water storage tank floors and roofs, ship decks, barges and other marine vessels, hatch covers, bridge decks and offshore drilling platforms. Blastrac 900VMB is ideally suited for medium and large-sized vertical steel blast cleaning jobs and applications. It is remote controlled for operator safety, comfort, and productivity. With its increased production width and greater productivity, the Blastrac 900VMB is ideal for medium and large-sized jobs. The Blastrac 900VMB steel blast cleaning machine is ideally suited for medium and large sized vertical steel cleaning jobs and applications, like; oil / storage / water tank shells, ship hulls and wind mill pipes. Blastrac has designed a full range of dust collectors, consumables and optional items which give the opportunity to process any specific application.

Due to requests by our customers we developed petrol versions of two of our electrical scarifiers. This improves the mobility of the scarifying machines making them ideal for projects on highways and runways. Besides the floor scarifiers, Blastrac is able to supply you with the spare parts of each machine and a large range of scarifying and milling accessories.
